Drawing on her experience as a “digital immigrant” and self-taught user of technology, Dr. Silberg offers practical solutions with sensitivity to the challenges of adapting to technological change.

In the world mental health practice and research advances in the field and changes in society constantly create new new ethical challenges. At the same time, some things don't change in the sense that mental health professionals still get into the same sorts of challenging ethical situations that have repeated over many years of clear professional standards. This workshop will address "What's hot," in terms of newly evolving issues attracting considerable recent attention; and "What's not," in terms of persistent ethical challenges among the mental health professions.

Psychological Examiners Proposed Rules Change.
The Board of Psychological Examiners is in the process of amending the administrative rules that relate to psychology licensure. In cooperation with the Licensure Board, the Vermont Psychological Association is encouraging Vermont psychologists to review these changes and contact the Licensure Board with any comments. Your voice is important.

The Board of Psychological Examiners is a five member Board created by the Legislature whose members are appointed by the Governor to administer the laws for this profession in the State of Vermont. The Board's mission is public protection. The Board does this by: ensuring that applicants are qualified for licensure; setting standards for the profession by proposing statutes and adopting administrative rules;and, with the assistance of OPR staff, investigating complaints of unprofessional conduct, taking disciplinary action against licensees when necessary to protect the public.
